Trying to post this on my husband's computer as I can't get out to my computer in the studio. Gave myself an unexpected birthday gift yesterday (birthday is today)...broke my ankle. This is not how I expected to spend today. Good time to catch up on my reading I guess if I can get past the pain...hate the painkillers they gave me so I'm not taking them any more... well maybe tonight so I can try to sleep:-)
Catch up with you all later.
Ouch! That's one birthday you won't forget! My sympathy and wishes for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Sorry to hear about your mishap. On your birthday?!? That really sucks! I hope you get well soon. Happy Reading!

Oh dear. I hope you aren't hurting too much, Karen. Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteoh dear! Seems odd to say happy birthday in these circumstances, but have a heartfelt, "wish you better" xx
ReplyDeleteSo sorry the hear about your ankle, Karen. Your title of this post says it all, doesn't it. Wishing you speedy healing!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. You broke your ankle. I am so sorry. Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY... it can only go up from here....
ReplyDeleteI hope you hubby is pampering you and baking you a lovely cake..
I have a sprained leg yet now feel so fortunate Karen. Sorry to read this and speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteA belated Happy Birthday Karen, but o dear, that's not the way to spend it. I hope you heal well and strong and follow Dr's orders.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen!.... Sorry to hear about your ankle... life does indeed exhibit an uncanny ability.... to get in the way!
ReplyDeletePerhaps... since you really have no choice... you can use the "break" to your advantage to pour over new ideas and plan out somew more exciting Martinsesque portraiture... when you have mended!
Rest easy... and relax! That will speed up the healing process!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
A belated happy birthday to you Karen. Such as it may be with the broken ankle. I can sympathize with you since I pulled a tendon in my knee 2 months ago. It wasn't my birthday but the way things are going, I feel like it will still be healing in January, when I do celebrate. Like you, I am not taking pain pills, just aspirin. Rough.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday and hope you mend quickly!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your broken ankle and a belated happy birthday to you -- Mine is one week after yours! Sometimes a bad head cold or a broken ankle is Nature's way of telling a person to slow down and enjoy reading books. Just a thought. Happy healing, hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated
