Life is what happens while you're busy planning other things...

Trying to post this on my husband's computer as I can't get out to my computer in the studio. Gave myself an unexpected birthday gift yesterday (birthday is today)...broke my ankle. This is not how I expected to spend today. Good time to catch up on my reading I guess if I can get past the pain...hate the painkillers they gave me so I'm not taking them any more... well maybe tonight so I can try to sleep:-)

Catch up with you all later.

  9. Hi Karen!.... Sorry to hear about your ankle... life does indeed exhibit an uncanny ability.... to get in the way!

Perhaps... since you really have no choice... you can use the "break" to your advantage to pour over new ideas and plan out somew more exciting Martinsesque portraiture... when you have mended!

Rest easy... and relax! That will speed up the healing process!

    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  10. A belated happy birthday to you Karen. Such as it may be with the broken ankle. I can sympathize with you since I pulled a tendon in my knee 2 months ago. It wasn't my birthday but the way things are going, I feel like it will still be healing in January, when I do celebrate. Like you, I am not taking pain pills, just aspirin. Rough.

  12. Sorry to hear about your broken ankle and a belated happy birthday to you -- Mine is one week after yours! Sometimes a bad head cold or a broken ankle is Nature's way of telling a person to slow down and enjoy reading books. Just a thought. Happy healing, hope you're feeling better soon.
